A candidate dissertation should contain a set of new scientific results and theses, have internal unity and testify to the author's personal contribution to science. Conclusions must be rigorously argued and original site critically assessed in comparison with other popular solutions. It is obligatory to have publications in scientific journals, which should reflect the main scientific results of work, or registered patents for inventions or industrial designs considered equivalent to publications, certificates for a useful model, computer programs, databases, topologies of integrated circuits, as well as published in materials of all-Russian and international conferences of work. The candidate dissertation necessarily contains links to the author and the source from which materials or abstracts are borrowed. Otherwise, an accusation of plagiarism and removal of the work from consideration without the right to re-defense may follow.
